“Another Great Week” Newsletter from Principal Ferguson
Dear Lancer Families,
We had another amazingly GREAT week at SMPS filled with fun activities and excitement. A huge thank you to all the moms and dads who helped with our Halloween parties…whether you dropped off supplies and treats or came to school to help orchestrate the Halloween Madness at the class parties, your support and generosity are very much appreciated. All the Kindergarteners, 1st Graders, and 2nd Graders looked fantastic in their costumes. We hope all the moms and dads, grandmas and grandpas enjoyed seeing the little ones as they paraded through the gym.
As always, a special thanks to our Halloween Carline Dads and Staff for continuing the yearly costume celebration for all the kids in the carline. This year's Willy Wonka and the Oompa Loompas theme was a huge hit with all the kids (and parents)!! Special thanks to Laura and Joe Gnorski, Jomy Vadakumpadam, Tom Grotts, Topher Garcia, Jordan Kerger, Kevin Jones, Matt Noel, Jake Hoerner, Lisa Los, Jim Wolf, and Joe Fekech for participating.
Today at the All Saints Day Mass, Fr. Sunny shared with all the students that they have “Cheerleaders and Coaches” guiding them to sainthood…and that we are all in COMMUNION with the Saints who act as our cheerleaders and coaches. It is a great gift to be part of a larger community that is working to be as saintly as possible, always helping one another toward goodness and toward God!
Special Blessing for all the 8th Graders at the Masses this weekend. Fr. Sunny will bless all the 8th graders from SMPS and the RE Program and ask for all the parishioners to show their prayerful support for these students as they grow closer to God while continuing on their Confirmation journey this year.
NO SCHOOL on Monday, November 4th due to a Teacher In-service. Classes will resume on Tuesday, November 5th.
NO BUSSING in the AM or PM on Tuesday, November 5th.
Make it a GREAT day, Lancers!!!

Considering Kindergarten for 2025-2026?
As you look ahead to next year, we invite you to join us for a Kindergarten Info Tour for current parents on November 5th at 9am.
This program is simply a chance to take a closer look at Kindergarten if you would like to learn a little more, visit the classrooms, and learn answers to questions you may have. There is no RSVP necessary, and attendance is not required to enroll your child in Kindergarten.
If you attend, please check in at the School Office a few minutes before 9am, entering Door 1. We will walk attendees down to the Library for a presentation, followed by a tour.
Also, we want to assure you that current St. Michael students have admissions priority, and are guaranteed a spot next year. We will initiate open applications for new students beginning November 1st, but please know current students' spots are automatically held for the following year.
More details about this process (and about current families who wish to add a new student) will be coming soon via email.
Thank you!
