“Another Great Week” Newsletter from Principal Ferguson

Dear Lancer Families,

Our time of waiting is coming to an end as we prepare for the birth of Baby Jesus! Our students have been working hard this first half of the year, and we are all proud of their many accomplishments. Please take the time this Christmas break to celebrate all the joys we have been given...it's a great time for love, laughter, and relaxation with family and friends.

Today, students and staff celebrated our 5th Annual Faith Rally. The whole school gathered in the gymnasium with our Buddy Classes and enjoyed a time filled with singing and dancing to some popular worship songs. Fr. Dan processed into the gym with the Holy Eucharist as we began Adoration. This gave everyone a quiet moment to pray and reflect on the Advent Season. We ended the Faith Rally with more singing and dancing to our favorite worship songs. This was a fantastic way to bring closure to the Advent Season here at St. Michael's Parish School.

Thank you for all the support as we continue to strive towards our School Mission of Forming Disciples of Christ.

Elite Chess is excited to be partnering with St. Michael Parish School to offer a comprehensive chess program designed to use chess to inspire and challenge St. Mike's students. The chess team is open to all students, whether they are complete beginners or experienced tournament players.
Program Details:
Classes taught by Jeff DiOrio, Owner of Elite Chess
Classes meet every Thursday (1/11 - 3/21) from 2:15 - 3:15 pm in the Jr. High Science Wing
Chess Team capacity is limited to 48 students this spring. Act Now!
Students will receive 50% discount on all Elite Chess Tournaments
Program fee: $145 (11 classes)
