BOARD APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN
The SMPO Executive Board is currently accepting applications for the 2025-26 school year. Applications are due by Friday, March 21, 2025. The SMPO Executive Board consists of fifteen board positions. Each board position is filled by one or two persons acting as co-officers, each fully responsible for the duties of the office. The position term is TWO full years. Applicants MUST have been a parent for one full school year. The SMPO Executive Board meets once a month on a Friday from 12:30 - 2 PM. Meetings are typically held the third Friday of the month. Officers of the organization include Co-Presidents, Secretary, Treasurers, and Co-Vice Presidents for the following areas:
Programs is responsible for providing the special programs for students outside the regular curriculum including events such as Park Play Dates, Grandparents Day and the 8th Grade Brunch.
Ways & Means oversees all SMPO auxiliary chairs who facilitate fundraising activities such as Fun Food Friday, Restaurant Nights, Lance’s Locker, Supply Day and the Fall Fundraiser.
Social oversees all SMPO social activities including events such as Welcome Back Social, Oktoberfest and Daddy Daughter Dance, Mother Son Event, Catholic Schools Week.
Membership is responsible for welcoming new SMPS families and overseeing programs benefiting SMPO members including events such as Mentor Families & New Family Orientation, Donuts with Santa and End of Year picnics.
Cultural Events coordinate activities designed to expose the SMPS student body to the arts, literature and other cultural areas with events such as Math or STEM nights, Battle of the Books and All School assemblies/field trips and Parent Talk Speakers.

Short Time Commitments
Volunteer to help at lunch one day for Fun Food Friday
Volunteer at one of our many events! Many of these require time commitments of as little as an hour or two. Some examples are Lancer Dash, Grandparents Day, Santa’s Secret Workshop, Oktoberfest, Donuts with Santa and so many more!
